ABOUT OUR REGION, THE PERIGORD NOIR

The village of St Germain de Belves is set about 700 feet up amongst rolling wooded countryside and farmland with a view over the valley to the bastide town of Belves in one direction and over the walnut groves in the other towards the village itself. The main local crops are Maize, Tobacco, and Walnuts with some vineyards although the best of these are further to the west.
